Neo@Ogilvy Acquires GSI

Neo@Ogilvy, a digital and direct media oriented subsidiary of The Ogilvy Group, acquired Global Strategies International (GSI) -- an SEO and SEM consultancy based in Connecticut.

According to Nasreen Madhany, Global CEO of Neo@Ogilvy, ""Search marketing cannot live in a silo anymore.  It needs to be part of a 360 (degree) strategy for delivering marketing solutions."

From that standpoint, the acquisition makes sense:  GSI focuses on organic SEO, SEO-related brand management consulting and SEM training.  Naturally, the hope is that Neo@Ogilvy will enjoy synergies with its new addition:  GSI has a direct or indirect presence in the UK, China, Japan, Switzerland, and Sweden.
